The Perfect Outdoor Space

Make your outdoor space look and feel like an extension of your style and home.

Being outdoors give us the feeling of space and expansiveness; it makes us feel like there is still so much to explore and appreciate about the natural world.

Studies have shown that being in the outdoors boosts energy, provides us with the vitamins necessary for our health, and creates clarity of mind.

So when you’re thinking about cultivating your own outdoor experience, start right at home!

Deciding what to do with your space is tied to what kind of feeling and experience you get from it. Are you interested in using it as an outdoor gym or kitchen, a garden or grove? Are you looking draw butterflies and local birds or experiment with growing fruits or vegetables?

Things To Consider

Here are some things to consider as you think about designing your outdoor space:

  • What is the size of your space? Try to fill the space with things you’re interesting in cultivating, but note that the more you try to cram into a small space, the more cluttered it may feel, and the lack of stuff in a big space might feel overwhelming. Having a big backyard is great for planting fruit trees and playing outdoor sports. Having a smaller space is great for growing a vegetable garden or taking a space for the perfect afternoon nap.

  • How much time do you have to maintain it? Taking care of a garden takes time and energy, but can be so rewarding. Your space could become a safe haven for local birds, butterflies, and bees, and allow for natural pollination of flowers and fruits and vegetables, which you can use when preparing food at home.

  • What is the weather? Getting weather-resistant furniture and growing seasonal fruits and vegetables can help you maintain your space throughout the year and navigate through the changing seasons.

Current Trends

Right now, outdoor kitchens are trending, with people wanting to get out of their house while still feeling safe. Install an outdoor fire pit or a grill to give you the sense of camping and cooking outdoors.

Add a coffee table and surround it with local flowers or plants. This will create a peaceful meeting space supplemented by direct aromatherapy from the release of plant smells to help reduce stress levels.

Outdoor spaces are just as important as indoor ones. The design, look, and fell can all contribute to your health and happiness. So if you’re uncertain of what to do, leave it to 2ee Staging and Design to create an outdoor haven for you.
